Janet has been making jewellery since 2003 and selling her products at different Maasai markets. She however has been looking for a more stable market and Bawa La Tumaini (BLT) turned out to be what she had been looking for. Janet has been supplying Bawa la Tumaini (BLT) since 2007.She appreciates the relationship she has built with BLT and the opportunities that it has opened for her. She is grateful that BLT gives bulk orders; this is very good for her business, since sometimes the sales in the local markets are not always consistent.

She works with her husband and several other women to create beautiful pieces that can be worn in any part of the world. They make bracelets, anklets, and different kinds of rings, necklaces, bangles, key rings and earrings. They design all their products, getting inspiration from the environments. BLT helps her to develop products that fit in the market place. They use a wide variety of products for their products including: different kinds of seeds, metals, papers, coconut shells, tree barks, wood, cow horns and even stones.

Janet aspires to grow with BLT because she believes that what Bawa la Tumaini does for her  she cannot do for herself. Further she would like to concentrate on production, and hopes to diversify to other products like kiondos, sandals etc, as BLT continues to market. She hopes that BLT continues to grow so that they have more consistent orders from clients. If they can get more consistent orders, then it will mean that her life and her family will change for the better.
